Retrofit of the Electrical Control System for JEDDAH & YANBOU floating cranes
CESCO was succeed to return these TWO floating cranes to life again TWO times. From a very old technology that was using analogue DC driving concept with motor generation method for DC power source and electronic based controlling systems to new modern digital driving techniques, PLC controlled and HMI monitoring and control we lead the change. No one could believe that it will works. However, CESCO professionals make it true. It was done in 2008 and repeated again in 2023 after for upgrading the automation solution again as it becomes obsolete. For the TWO times, it was done by OMRON automation solution.
Retrofit of the control system for HVAC systems which is related to FARIS1 fast vessel
Big risk was available in replacing complete HVAC control system which was a part of centralized network, controlled directly from the ship marine-link specially if is using customizing communication protocols provided by Schneider. Also, huge cost was expected for getting the vessel to Jeddah Sea port and upland it to the dry-dock for weeks including body cutting, wielding and painting.
CESCO succeed to plan and execute the project during and between the ship normal trips by building all panels internally and satisfy the required migration from the supplied system to the central marine-link SCADA perfectly. This project was executed with 10% from the calculated budget.
Upgrading of the monitoring & Control system
A classical monitoring solution was implemented that was not reflecting the required image about this ship actuating conditions. It was really risking to depart in sea width with the available monitoring conditions which has lot of obsolete items. This was the decision of the ship server and it was prevented from leaving Jeddah Sea port.
At this point, CESCO was involved and solved the situation within no time by replacing the full monitoring systems with smart monitoring devices and HMI units. Solution was implemented from OMRON product range.
Upgrading of the Electrical Control System for critical ATS system
Upgrading of the Electrical Control and monitoring solution for critical ATS system which is related to TWO standby generators based on "Schneider TSX PLC" with all relevant control panels. No more details to be sharded due to the job natural and security. Just we want to say that we was so excited in being a part of this project.
Retrofit the main distribution panels and the ATS system with load sharing and Synchronizer in TABUK and Buraydah SAMA buildings
The main challenge in this project is to apply all required modifications including replacement of FOUR draw-out circuit breakers, 3200A with all related busbar modifications LIFE WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE MAIN POWER. CESCO qualified engineering team did the job professionally under these restricted conditions without one single mistake. SAMA didn’t trust any other company to repeat the same project with larger scale in Buraydah branch after the successful story that was done in Tabuk branch. The LV solution was Schneider as a replacement of Siemens. However, the automation was totally OMRON solution.
Electrical Control System for the HVAC project with all relevant control panels and monitoring solution
The project was done as a subcontract from National Tri-Generation company for supply, installation, programming, testing and commissioning of the required control and monitoring solution including smart access to the central SCADA system which is related to Al Anoud Tour 2 located in Riyadh. The project was designed based on OMRON complete automation solution. All panels and LV components was Schneider.
Upgrading of the Electrical Control System for HVAC system including integration to the central smart monitoring system
The project was executed in the IT central building for SNB bank that was located in Jeddah. Communication with the main bank office in Riyadh was a must. The project was done based on "Omron CS1H PLC, NS5 HMI" with all relevant control panels. communicates with central remote SCADA system was satisfied perfectly.
